Jo and Larry are outdoor enthusiasts with a love for Nevada, and Cowboy Poetry.
The Cowboy Gathering in Elko is a favorite destination for inspiration and entertainment. Jo
Foster is a newly-minted cowboy poet. In 2016, she retired as an ecology professor from
Wartburg College, located in Waverly, Iowa. However, her heart called her back to Nevada
where her family lived since 1969. She and her husband Larry became fans of cowboy poetry
at their introduction to this genre in Elko, NV. After seeing how much fun Larry had
creating his poems, she decided to join in too.
