stage. Featuring 20's & 30's hot jazz, big band swing, Rat Pack. Not just a band, but an act
sure to please and get your fingers snappin' and your feet a-tappin'. Lucky Diamond and
the Incontinentals. They're like "Grub Hub"...They deliver!

presents music from 1741 to 2024 through the lens of the jazz medium.

Carolyn Dolan Band - Tuesday 8/20/2024 - 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. - McFadden Plaza Stage
Carolyn writes, "Within the beating heart of the Reno-Tahoe music scene, in the underbelly of current
trends, a different breed of band pulsates. Surging from the heart of the jazz tradition and
fueled by funk and soulŐs underground grooves, these veteran musicians transcend boundaries
brewing up their own formula of soul-jazz.
Prepare to meet Carolyn Dolan & Friends. This potent blend is seasoned musicianship mixed with
raw, soulful grooves that gives this elixir itŐs tasteful sound.
Through the rich bold notes of harmonica player and vocalist, Carolyn Dolan, the dynamic and
expressive singer and keyboardist, Ron Savage, they augment the group with the seasoned palms
of guitarist Mick Valentino on the Gibson 335. The foundation is the uncompromising rhythm
section; Joe Dolister on bass and Reno veteran Steve Self on drums, who transforms feels
into fat grooves.
We top it with the soul power of Mauro DiGioia on tenor sax!
This sextet will leave a musical spell on the passionate listener."
