Alice Jones Jazz and the AJJ Singers

This is a vocal Jazz trio with instrumental Jazz trio. They will play jazz standards and favorites.
Members of the group are:
Singers: Leslie Alice Jones (recording artist, ASCAP, RavenGrin publishing),
Danielle Williams, and Michael Britten.
Instrumentalists/jazz combo band: Kendall Hoopes, piano; Evan Reese, bass;
and Brandon Dodge, drums.

Dom & Friends

Dominic Pieranunzio: Dom began playing the ukulele after visiting the island of
Kauai` in 1999, where he discovered the "joy of such an unassuming instrument."
One of Dom's notable accomplishments was winning the 2012 Jake Shimabukuro Ukulelestar
contest where he performed on the same stage as ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro
before a sold-out crowd at the historic Castro Theater in San Francisco.
Mark Cromer: Mark earned a Master's Degree in Classical Guitar from the prestigious
Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland. After teaching and performing in a wide
variety of ensembles and styles, Mark eventually landed a job composing music and
designing sound effects for video and slot games.
Shirley Robey: Shirley is an experienced and versatile musician who loves to play
music and has spent her entire professional life dedicated to its art and craft. An
accomplished instrumentalist and lead singer she's put her heart and soul into her
performances, providing listeners with infectious grooves, beautiful melodies and
rich harmonies.
Dom & Friends perform a variety of styles including pop, jazz, Hawaiian, classic
rock and more.

Niall McGuinness & the New World Jazz Project

Location: Bob McFadden Plaza Stage, Carson St. between 2nd and 4th Streets
Featuring saxophone, flute, percussion, piano, bass and drums, New World Jazz Project
performs groove-oriented original compositions and nouveau arrangements of American
standards in styles ranging from adult contemporary to bebop and beyond.
Led by Niall McGuinness, New World Jazz Project features some of the best players
in the Reno/Tahoe area, delivering their soulful sound on a backdrop of Latin and Afro-jazz rhythms.
Cutting his Latin jazz teeth in Miami, Florida, Niall graduated from University of
Miami's School of Music, immersing himself in the rhythms and sounds of Afro-Cuban music;
his ample use of many hand percussion instruments is a reflection of that strong cultural
influence
The New World Jazz Project continues to carry the banner of America's indigenous and
ever-evolving musical art form through their many recordings, some tunes of which have
recently been placed on national television and film. Niall McGuinness and New World
Jazz Project beckon you to join them on their musical journey.

Mike Kirkhouse, upright/electric bass;
Neil Strocchio, drums;
