Monique & the Bebop Revival

This new group called "The Bebop Revival" is out of Reno, Nevada. This band plays fiery Bebop, Swing, Motown, Blues-jazz, and Funk inspired dance classics.

Monique DeHaviland is a singer, songwriter, and European/American recording artist (EMI/Columbia, Jugoton/Hr, Corona/SI record labels). Credits include ASCAP publishing: Mobandi Music.

Monique attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, after which she recorded numerous originals on various labels between Central Europe and the West Coast of the United States (available currently on all platforms). The Bebop Revival band is performing a number of shows this summer.

She has performed or recorded with musicians of Earth Wind & Fire, War, Eddie Money, Richard Marx, Jelly Bread, and even Buck Owens' Buckaroos as a studio vocalist. In Europe she performed regularly with the Ljubljana Big Band (Slovenia), bringing the Great American Songbook to the stage.

Locally, she regularly also performs with Moxy Ruckus and as solo artist "Moni K."

Other members of the group:
Keyboardist Daniel Dillon (musical director) studied at Juilliard School of Music, toured with Mel Ellison, Eddie Marshal, Art Pepper, and Art Blakey in New York and San Fransisco music circuits,

Drummer Anthony Mitchell served a full military and music career in the US Corps Band.

Upright bassist Doug Davies is a UNR graduate student in the jazz program and performs additionally with a ragtime band.

Blues-jazz guitarist is Gardnerville native Shorty Garcia (aka Adam Cohen).

Alto saxophonist Guy Hartshorn was educated at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) in Los Angeles.

Lucky Diamond & the Incontinentals

Lucky Diamond and the Incontinentals! Big Band Swing, Rat Pack, '20s & '30s Hot Jazz!

This is not just a musical presentation, but an exciting show band featuring some of the area's greatest senior musicians. Singin' & Swingin' with a groove deep and solid. You're guaranteed a great show and a great time with Lucky D and the boys. Just like Amazon..."they Deliver!"

Members of the group are Mark Ashworth, drums & vocals; Jimmy Vermilion, keys & vocals; Joe LaChew, guitar & vocals; Dallas Smith, reeds & flute; Joe Cadena, trombone; and Wayne Theriault, trumpet.

Cherie and John Shipley's "Take This" Band

"Cherie and John" Shipley are a dynamic jazz act located in the Reno/Tahoe area. Jazz from this group is best described as innovative. Many of the tunes are arranged by Cherie and John to present a customized original Jazz version, not commonly heard before.

Cherie Shipley has been a vocalist favorite in this area since the '80s and has tamed many jazz venues.

John Shipley is a founding member of the groundbreaking jazz/fusion recording group "Hiroshima." John's Jazz and R&B piano/keyboard talents are well known and always a draw for true music aficionados.

Joining this show is Nat Kline on sax and flute, Mike Kirkhouse on bass, and Erik Dormody on drums.

Members of the group are Cherie Shipley, vocals; John Shipley, keys; Nat Kline, sax/flute; Mike Kirkhouse, bass; and Erik Dormody, drums.
