Gary Lynn Floyd brings his soulful blend of piano-based jazz, pop, and inspiration to
Comma Coffee Courtyard, featuring Holly Siig on sax/flute and Joe McKenna on bass.
A native of Houston, Gary began picking out melodies on a piano at four years old, and he's
been making music ever since. Today, he writes deep and meaningful music and shares these
songs to audiences across the country. His style is a mix of pop, rhythm, and blues,
combining silky vocals with powerful lyrics.
Performers are: Gary Lynn Floyd - piano & vocal, Holly Siig - sax & flute, Joe McKenna - bass.

Tom Stryker's Impromptu - Thur., 8/22/2024 - 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. - Comma Courtyard
Tom Stryker received his first harmonica at the age of 15 in San Francisco as a
Christmas gift. It was then he engaged former "Harmonica Rascal" Ray Tankersley to teach
him to play. Tom played lead with the "Harmonica Express," and the world famous "Johnny Puleo
Harmonica Gang." Tom then went on to perform around the world on his own, also performing
with the Harmonica Aces on Holland America Cruises Lines to South America. He continues
to perform as a soloist in Asia including China. Tom also performs in Reno and Carson
City area clubs/restaurants and at Jazz Festivals along with jazz bands and symphonies worldwide.
A strong supporter of the harmonica movement, Tom joined SPAH (The Society For The
Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica) in 1980. He was President of SPAH from
2006 to 2012 with members worldwide.
Performers are: Tom Stryker - Chromatic Harmonica, Jimmy Vermilion - Keys, Vocals,
Marcy Benner - Vocals, Larry Waller - Sax & Neil Strocchio - Drums
Music Performance Trust Fund (MPTF) is a funding sponsor of this event, in cooperation
with Reno Musicians Union Local 368 AFM and its President, John Shipley.

Josh D. Reed Band - Thur., 8/22/2024 - 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. - McFadden Plaza Stage
Josh D. Reed is a performer and educator in Northern Nevada who performs jazz and
improvised music of all styles. This performance will focus on material written by
singer-songwriters from the '60s to 2000s.
Performers are: Josh D. Reed - Trumpet, Adam Benjamin - Fender Rhodes, Tyler
Cravines - Drums, Dylan Coleman - Bass.
